Take advantage of the beautiful Nelson region's accommodation. Wakefield is situated south of Nelson city giving a good head start for those trips both north and south.

Wakefield is well situated within easy access to Nelson's wealth of outdoor activities.  Take advantage of Faulkners Bush and Waikari Reserve next door to Bush Walk Bed & Breakfast.  Walk up to the lookout and have a birds eye view over Nelson.  Or wander through the pathways amongst New Zealand's native trees.  Wood pigeons and Tui's are your companions. Other walks include the Abel Tasman National Park.  Take the Abel Tasman Sea Shuttle boat trip from Kaiteriteri to view the beautiful coastline and spend the day walking, then be collected by the Sea Shuttle for the return  to Kaiteriteri.  Read more: Abel Tasman Sea Shuttle

The Wakefield house is in the trees next to Faulkners Bush and the Waikari Reserve.  Relax on the deck with a cup of tea or coffee while listening and watching the native birds.  The table and chairs are right outside the Beech Room.

MEAL OPTIONS It is only a short walk through the bush to the Wakefield Village shops and restaurant, where you can have your evening meal or drive to Richmond for a selection of different cuisines from Chinese to Thai. Breakfast The most important meal of the day. Breakfast with guests. Dinner The other option for meals is to dine with your hosts Sandra and Bruce.  A three course meal with a complimentary glass of wine/beer can be provided for $40 per person. Barbeque In the summer time we often have a BBQ.  Join Bruce your host in the courtyard and watch him cook the perfect steak on his home made barbeque.
